Also, for the record, should my daughter get caught at a drug dealer's house and it turns out that the warrant was overly broad and that technically the cops weren't authorized to have a female cop search her in a separate room, my reaction will not be "Damn this police state!" It will be, "What the hell were you doing at a drug dealer's house!?"How many parents, in trying to be their kids' friend, would have chosen to be mad at the cops in this hypothetical? Too many I think.
That people think my reaction should be otherwise truly baffles me.
