He should nominate me for Supreme Court. I would approve any State Law where a man could write "women expenses" off on his taxes!

Quote of the day
I think State Representative Leah Vukmir "gets" Twitter.
I am heading to the Capitol despite suicidal Turkish pilots and hungry squirrels.

Original thoughts from Eugene Kane
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel columnist Eugene Kane is on Twitter, too. (You can follow me here.) I had to laugh at this one:
My blog post today is about Dick Cheney saying America is less safe under Obama.http://tinyurl.com/ceaxt9 I call him Darth Vader.
"I call him Darth Vader." I bet you have never seen the former Vice President called "Darth Vader" before on any blog, right?

Does Herb Kohl Twitter while watching games?
The Milwaukee Bucks are following me on Twitter. Do you think the players are sitting around in the locker room checking on their Blackberries for my latest updates on hot dog stands, drunk legislators, baseball parks and Mayor Nelson's fashion sense?
By the way, you can follow me and follow my blog on Twitter, too.

Can we move the spotlight back, please?
I'm stealing from a Twitter post:
What gets more press next week: Bristol Palin giving birth, or Obama team's internal review of Blago contacts?

Is Twitter a terrorist tool?
The Inquisitr is reporting unconfirmed reports India may be trying to block Twitter or at least curbing Twitter posts about the situation in Mumbai (Bombay).
An unconfirmed report out of India has the Indian Government urging Twitter users to not share specific on the scene information, and further that the Government may be trying to block Twitter in India, or is asking Twitter to block Mumbai related tweets.
Twitter has become an international talking point today following its use by many on the scene witnesses in Mumbai after the multiple terrorist attacks there Wednesday evening local time.
The interesting side of the report, read out on ABC Radio Melbourne at 3:10pm AEST (so no hard link, I just happened to be in the car at the time) is the notion that terrorists may be reading Twitter for intel; it’s not impossible, but notably someone in India thinks Twitter offers a bigger risk than traditional blogging or even heritage media.

Housecleaning
You may notice some of the side elements of the blog getting re-arranged and/or removed. (Already I've noticed an improvement in the loading speed.) I know many of you read the blog through RSS feeds so you won't even notice the changes, but the rest of you should find everything a little more convenient. You'll notice, for example, the Twitter links and the RSS are bumped up on the right. There are some other things I'm playing with, as well. So watch for the changes.
And, as always, if you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know.

Twittering conservatives
All the cool conservative kids are using Twitter, according to Sean Hackbarth at the American Mind. He recommends this article with its list of the 200 conservatives to follow (and not just because he made the list).
If you don't know what Twitter is, Cnet News has a guide for people new to Twitter.
Meanwhile, I Twitter at #jwigderson, and you can follow the blog on Twitter at #Wiglibrarypub.

Housekeeping
Please don't make me start treating off-topic comments as spam. I will remove off-topic links. If you want me to address a topic I haven't covered, send me an e-mail or check me out on Twitter. I'm happy to consider addressing other topics of interest keeping in mind:
1. It has to be interesting to me.
2. This is a conservative blog written by a conservative writer.
3. Time. (Which is always the #1 issue.)

Talking football
The Wisconsin Sports Bar blog was burned down by its crazed owner and the patrons have moved over to The Cheesehead Corner Pub. With any luck they will be more hospitable to Dallas Cowboy fans.
Meanwhile, I'm commenting occasionally on the game at Twitter, probably until halftime. And there's the Dallas Morning News game blog.
