Starting your day with a cup of Jonah

For those of you who can't stomach the free coffeee at work, Starbucks has launch a series of coffee cups with quotes from the quotable. Jonah Goldberg, of National Review, most famous for talking to his couch, is "the way I see it #22." I think they chose the wrong quote, and this is now my personal favorite (from the same interview):
But pointing out how others inconsistently apply their own principles is not a substitute for having principles of your own.
As for Starbucks... do they really think this going to work? Burger King has been putting pithy little sayings on their Whopper wrappers and it hasn't made me eat more of them. Two Whoppers with cheese for three bucks gets me to eat more of them. Give me free coffee and I don't care if Albert Einstein signed the cup (or the bagel, for that matter).

I don't care about cleverness before my first cup of coffee. I just need caffeine. As one of Goldberg's colleagues is oft quoted, "Faster, please."
