Rep. Wood declines position of Chairman Pot-head (alleged) in legislature

State Representative Jeff Wood, arrested last night for possession of marijuana, marijuana paraphenalia, and driving while intoxicated, has decided to pass on the chairmanship of the Assembly Ways and Means Committee offered to him by the Democrats after his defection from the GOP earlier this year.

...Sheridan said in a statement today that Wood has taken full responsibility for his actions and declined the chairmanship. Sheridan said with "serious charges pending, I believe that to be the right course of action.”

No statement yet on the chairmanship from Wood or his spokesman Tommy Chong. Possibly they got the munchies and were unavailable for comment.
