The Green Bay Press-Gazette's Tony Walters on Terri McCormick's campaign for Congress:

You are running for Congress.

You are a Republican in a district that usually elects Republicans.

The president of the United States, a Republican, is coming to your district to campaign.

A fundraising dinner, with the president as the main attraction in a house full of Republicans, is being held here Thursday to support the election of a Republican candidate.

You are not invited.

You are Terri McCormick, candidate for the 8th Congressional District, also known as the Candidate Who Ran for Office Anyway.

"She's a nonentity," said Jonathan Collegio, a spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee to The Associated Press.

No word yet if McCormick plans on running as an independent after she loses the primary.
