What do Roller Derby and the Sears Tower have in common?

They both require photo identification.

The other day when I attended a bird flu conference on the 66th floor of the Sears Tower, I was told to stop at the front desk in the lobby and show a government issued photo id. I was then given a slip of paper saying where I was going and ushered through the metal detectors.

Meanwhile, Jenna at Right off the Shore found out the "Mad Rollin Dolls," a women's roller derby league, requires a photo id if you're planning on playing.

However, you still do not need a photo id to vote.
