See? Blogger isn't so bad

One of the great sports of "serious" bloggers is to make fun of the Blogger service (that powers this blog, actually). Occasionally you'll see me note when some other blogger has had enough and switches to Wordpress or something else. It's kind of like the difference between using a Macintosh and a PC, or the difference between Firefox and Internet Explorer (does anyone still use Netscape?).

The nice part about Blogger (besides being free) is that the templates are open to modification as much your heart desires (and your level of patience can stand). It has the added advantage that, if you screw something up, somebody else on the internet knows how to fix it.

Of course, if you do migrate to a new service, say one hosted by WTMJ, sometimes the changes aren't as easy as expected. And as much as we would all like to help Jessica McBride, none of us knows or understands how WTMJ's blogging software works. But at least we know why Charlie Sykes doesn't change his blogroll very often, or why Jeff Wagner doesn't even have one.

In the meantime, I just want to say I'm hurt that I am only mentioned twice on Jessica's blogroll. C'mon Jessica. You've got the Spiceboys listed three times.
