I don’t spend much time correcting people, but I had to laugh when I found out Wigderson Library & Pub ranks #2 on the Google search for “Widgerson”. For the record, my more-famous non-relative, Avi Wigderson, has a home page that is #1.
The correct spelling for my name is W-i-g-d-e-r-s-o-n. Avi, Kate, and most other Wigdersons you find on the internet spell and pronounce the name the same way. It’s just like Anderson, only it’s Wigderson.
So on behalf of all the Wigdersons on the internet, like Andy, Jonathan, and Seth, none of whom I’ve ever met, please, it’s G before D.
