MADISON – State Rep. Scott Newcomer, surrounded by his family, signs his name as part of a swearing-in ceremony Tuesday in Madison. Newcomer, a Delafield Republican from the 33rd District, easily defeated Democrat Pat Byrne, town of Delafield, in a special election last week to fill the seat of former Rep. Dan Vrakas. Joining Newcomer in the ceremony were, front row from left, his children, Nicole, Taylor and Alisha, and back row, his wife, Julianne. - Waukesha Freeman 1/18/06After all the free publicity I gave him, you'd think I'd have been packed in the car with the kids.
