As promised, a dull droning noise will be emanating from the state capital tonight on public airwaves. Don't be alarmed. It's just the governor. For those of you tuning into Wisconsin politics for the first time, the bald eagle mounted on the wall is named "Abe." The bald guy at the podium is the governor.
Lakeshore Laments is bravely "live-blogging" tonight's "State of the State" address by Governor Jim Doyle. He has some last minute advice for drinking game rules.
Brian Fraley at Dailytakes has some advice for watching the governor's two would-be opponents. He also gives us a bingo gamecard, a game our governor's best friends have been known to promote.
Jenna at Right Off the Shore will actually be in the chambers tonight, hopefully not giggling at my bald joke, and promises a full report later.
I promise to read them all.
Update! Jessica McBride is live blogging the speech, too, with commentary from her husband as background. Brian Christianson tells us which bar we should've been watching the speech from. Do they allow you to throw stuff at the screen?
I'm watching a History Channel special on Ben Franklin and feeding my one year old lasagna.
