No fun when a favorite fraud becomes cliche

Both Sean at The American Mind and John McAdams of Marquette University have been doing great work following the case of the student UMass Dartmouth who claimed to have been visited by Homeland Security "agents" after checking out Mao's "Little Red Book." (A favorite from the "easy reading section" for Red Diaper Babies.)

The whole story has been revealed to be a hoax, of course.

My guess is that the student wanted to claim racist graffiti was left on the door of his dorm room, but discovered that hoax had been done before.
