Gay marriage legislation likely to be vetoed

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appears to be ready to veto legislation that would (if it passed the courts) make gay marriage legal in the state of California. Schwarzenegger's veto would be in support of proposition 22 which passed overwhelmingly in California keeping marriage for heterosexual couples. The courts are currently deciding whether proposition 22 is in violation of the state's equal protection clause.

Bill Christofferson actually has a clever comment: "We'll see if his veto message says anything about girlie men."
