I want to highlight one of the many giving opportunities to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. WITI-TV Milwaukee (Fox 6) is collecting toys for the children. With the Houston Salvation Army and UPS, "Toys for Texas" will be collecting toys tomorrow at State Fair Park, north lot by the Pettit Center, 8 am – 3 p.m.
They are asking for new toys only, "dolls to coloring books, board games, hand-held electronics, toy trucks, and stuffed animals. Any type of toy a child would like. (Please also provide the batteries – if required.)"
