Governor willing to grant reprieve to death sentenced cats

Today Governor Doyle announced his intention to spare homicidal bird killing feral felines from execution by firing squad. "I don't think Wisconsin should become known as a state where we shoot cats," Doyle told reporters in the Capitol.

The governor also told the reporters gathered he does not own a cat, so there will be no possibility of a conflict of interest in granting this stay of execution.

The Governor apparently only referenced the shooting of cats and said nothing about the bagging of whole litters and throwing them in the river, or euthanasia by competent animal control authorities.
