Another tolerant lefty

Right-wing commentator and columnist Pat Buchanan had to cut a question and answer session short at Kalamazoo Valley Community College when a leftist doused him with salad dressing. According to The Associated Press,
Buchanan's visit had evoked controversy on campus because it fell on the birthday of the late Mexican-American labor leader Cesar Chavez. Buchanan favors tighter controls on immigration.
Rage has no rhyme or reason, and Buchanan's visit to a college campus would be controversial no matter what day it fell on.

Reminds me of an ex-girlfriend that I dumped the week of her birthday. She was so mad I ruined her birthday she started screaming at me. Okay, like there's ever a good time to say, "I really don't think this is ever going to work out." (Besides, I spared myself the cost of a present.) (And her screaming at me wasn't exactly an incentive to change my mind.)

So, if it hadn't been Chavez's birthday, it would have been Mr. Rogers birthday (March 20th) and people would have protested Buchanan's insensitivity.

By the way, tomorrow is Ron Palillo's (Horshack) birthday. Let's everyone give out an "Ooh, Ooh, Ooh!"
