Waukesha has another school referendum Tuesday to tax the bejeezus out of the citizenry. They want to tax us to the tune of another $5 million for operational costs annually. That's right. This is not a promise of a one-time fix for a some budget shortfall. The schoolboard wants the cash to spend and they want it every year.
Fortunately about 75 people turned out to "rally" against them tonight at an event sponsored by CRG and the Waukesha Taxpayers League. Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker, State Representative Mark Gundrum and State Representative Gregg Underheim who is running for State Superintendent of Schools.
Perhaps Waukesha will get lucky and stop the taxing.
