Canada’s Prime Minister Paul Martin’s decision to exclude Canada from participating in ballistic missile defense is inexcusable immoral empty posturing. Does Canada really think that if a nuclear missile were launched by North Korea at Vancouver we would just watch it hit? So Paul Martin can make a vacuous gesture to the Canadian Left without fear of the consequences. It would serve him right if he were standing at ground zero if and when the United States had to make the decision.
Let’s hope that day never comes, but lets act like grownups and prepare for the day it might happen.
