Sewerage district officials are concerned about the inch or so of rain forecast for this week, in part because one of the three massive pumps at the Jones Island Treatment Plant still isn't working properly.

That could lead to dumping untreated or partially treated sewage even though the district's second plant, South Shore in Oak Creek, should be able to handle more sewage.

At least they warned us. Yuck. And Waukesha wants to buy this water from Milwaukee?
