By the way, the good guys won

There is nothing like the Dallas/Washington rivalry in sports. It's the last real rivalry in the NFL (except Broncos/Chiefs/Raiders, which pales in comparison). Didja notice when Gibbs and Parcells met halfway across the field after the game Gibbs wouldn't even look at Parcells? Did you notice the hitting? The intensity on both sides? Okay, did you see Antonio Bryant?

But then there was the announcing . I kinda like Al Michaels, but then I liked Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football. Forget the hero worship of Joe Gibbs (see below), they missed things happening all over the field. An example: after the last play Michaels and Madden had to comment on the helmet to helmet contact. They totally missed the fact that there was offensive pass interference and whatever the result of the play the game was over.

How about an injured Brunell getting pounded play after play (see Memo) without comment from the dudnamic duo? And when the refs threw a flag for a blow to the head, Michaels and Madden were confused as to why the flag was thrown even after the ref said it was for a blow to the head.

ABC should move the games up to 7:00 pm. Apparently the game runs past the announcers’ bed times.
