Another Packer revenue shortfall

Bob Harlan is about as much of a genius as Wile E Coyote. Packer fans and even WTMJ's Jeff Wagner are whining about the Green Bay Packer "Fan Fest" tickets getting resold on the internet. As the Journal Sentinel reported,
Mark Wagner, the team's ticket director, said he was aware that fans were reselling the tickets for as much as three times their face value on eBay and other Internet sites.

"I just don't know how you can stop reselling on eBay," Wagner said. "It's like Packers tickets. It's hard to stop that."
Wait, wait, I have an idea, how about sellling the tickets for more than $55.00? What, then the average fan won't be able to attend? SO WHAT. The other alternative is to increase the supply by having more than one event, driving down the price of the ticket. Didn't anyone study microeconomics in college?

But the fact that the Packers are continously unable to figure out the market price for their tickets is a sign of incompetence. If people truly dislike "scalpers", ticket brokers, and individuals who resell tickets on E-Bay, then there's a very simple solution. Ask Bob Harlan to raise prices.
