Police say extra patrols will be on alert Monday morning after an attempted child abduction near Brown Deer Middle School.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Police say four suspects in a blue pickup truck approached a 10-year-old girl. They reportedly told her they had a Wii video game system and a puppy inside the vehicle for her. That's when a suspect in the passenger seat got out and attempted to grab the girl.
Police say the girl managed to wiggle away and run off to a nearby relative's home for safety.
The suspects are described as four black men in their 20s or 30s. The two suspects in the back seats were wearing red bandanas over their faces.
Anyone with information is asked to call Brown Deer Police.
Update! Should have trusted my first instinct that wondered why there would be four men in a van. Since when do sexual predators looking for children work in teams? The story was made up.
