December isn't the month most of us think about camping outside.... but an area father and daughter are doing just that in hopes of raising enough money to keep Stevens Point Christian Academy--open.
Rob and Janine Golla are hoping to raise $100,000 and increase enrollment by 25 students at the church school by sleeping outside from December 22nd through January 1st.
Stevens Point Christian Academy is a K-12 school and has been in the community for more than 20 years as a part of Good News Fellowship Church.
The Pastor, Bishop Matthew Mallek says the school can accommodate about 120 students but with low enrollment numbers the school is endanger of closing.
Janine Golla is one of 22 students currently enrolled at the school and decided to take matters into her own hands.
Information on the school can be found at their website, and Janine Golla has a blog. The church is hosting a concert Monday night collecting donations for the school.
