People needing people with large checkbooks

Barbra Streisand, the intellectual giant of the Hollywood elite, is singing tonight to honor The Obama and to raise some big donor money from the rich-but-clueless crowd. Sort of like "The Little Drummer Boy" only with very big checks and the musician is more rich than John McCain's wife.

The Oscar-winning singer and actress was to perform Tuesday night on Obama's behalf in Beverly Hills. It was to be a two-step evening with a reception and dinner costing $28,500 a person followed by a later event featuring Streisand at $2,500 a ticket.

For those of you who can't afford the $31,000 to hear her sing, you can hear a much more modest version thanks to the internet.
