I don't know if McCain's campaign can survive the day's events, but every day this drags on hurts him. While some House members may have saved their seats today, every Republican vote against the bailout just killed the McCain campaign.
I confess to being an agnostic on the debate myself. But when McCain said he would rather be right than president, he may have finally gotten his wish.
