Local activist Steve Edlund has news about Karen Frame's thoughts on the proposed stadium:
The Friends of Frame Park are pleased to announce that Karen Frame, great granddaughter of Mr. Frame, donor of the park land, her sister, and their children will be joining us for a "Preservation Stroll" around Frame Park.
Karen has informed me that the family is upset at the City of Waukesha and she only recently heard about the proposal from a friend and looked up my name to get the scoop.
Personally, I find this very disrespectful. The Office of the Mayor of Waukesha should have informed members of the Frame Family of his intent to broker a deal that will keep Karen from bringing her children to Frame Park because they live in another community, but won't have a place to park 32 evenings a year.
I forgot to mention to Karen, the City Administrator brokered a deal for naming rights of the stadium in FRAME PARK. Can you imagine the furor of the living contributors to the Frame Park Corridor Development?
Look for {upcoming} Letters to the Editor in The Waukesha Freeman from the Frame family.
Note: the naming of the stadium would have to include "at Frame Park" as in, "Chico's Bail Bonds Stadium at Frame Park" or "Canadian National Railroad Field at Frame Park".
“A Stroll for Preservation” will take place in Frame Park Thurdsay evening at 7:00 PM. The general public is invited to come to Frame Park and show their desire to keep the park free from becoming a commercial development and preserve it for future generations.
