Gretchen Schuldt reports
"Rosella Tucker, charged with embezzling $300,000 from an MPS charter school, is receiving money to tutor MPS kids who attend low-performing schools." Ms. Schuldt is upset that the state Department of Instruction does not have Tucker on the banned from teaching and tutoring list. Perhaps
they're too busy trying to close down schools that work.
Schuldt asks about the alleged embezzler,
Ms. Tucker hasn't had her day in court and deserves a presumption of innocense, but it does seem odd to keep her on a list of people approved to teach kids. Just what, pray tell, is she teaching them?
Hopefully math.
