The Waukesha Freeman editorial on Saturday hit just the right tone on development at the Pabst Farms. The editors point out that unless more upscale stores are considered the project could stall.
I agree, and I also agree with those Oconomowoc aldermen and Waukesha County Supervisors that there is no rush to develop Pabst Farms. Far better that it be done correctly than done in a hurry. Pabst Farms must be unique, the regional attraction that justifies the attention and the subsidies.
Because if Pabst Farms is just going to be like any other development along I-94, then there really isn't any reason for the county to consider adding one more exit to the freeway at taxpayer expense.
