Haloscan, the service that manages comments, has added a "ratings" feature. I'm not sure how it works, but we'll try it.
Somehow I think this is going to be a temporary feature. Let me know what you think.
Update! 1/10/08Well, it seems easy enough, and not too intrusive. We'll try it for a while and see what happens. It occurs to me that if someone tries to "Amazon" me and rank all my posts poorly, it still won't effect a post's ranking on my site. Just that the average score for all posts will be down.
