Lay the money on the table

The Waukesha Taxpayer League has launched another effort to educate the public about the largest component of the school district budget, teacher salary and benefits. They just did a mail campaign how teacher salaries have not been hurt by the caps.

The Waukesha Taxpayers League has also released a Powerpoint presentation online (you can also read it as a pdf) explaining in easy-to-understand language the compression of the salary table, and how that has contributed to rising costs in the school district.

These types of contributors to school budget increases are not only happening in Waukesha but in school districts around the state, so it's well worth the read.
