Another example of Weiss' Law, first told to me by outgoing New Berlin School Board member Matt Weiss: "Nobody ever thanks you for cutting spending."

That is what being a fiscal conservative on the Joint Finance Committee is like - an endless chorus of requests for more and more spending and taxes to fund it. The most solid rock wears down after a while. I hope you can all support our Republican Assembly members of the Committee and let them know that a significant majority of the people in our state do not want more spending or taxes.
