Renewal

The Green Bay Press Gazette reports over 400,000 people have fallen off the state's "do not call" list.
People who sign up need to re-enroll every two years or they are dropped from the list. So the list, which once held 1.5 million names, today just has 1.1 numbers.

But people have a chance to get back on the list. The latest enrollment period ends today, Dec. 1.

"You have to sign up every two years and the time to sign up is now," said Glen Loyd, a spokesman for the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

To sign up, call (866) 966-2255 or go to nocall.wiscon sin.gov.
The "do not call" list is different from the "do not bid" list. Membership on that list can be renewed at any time with a contribution to Governor Doyle and a phone call to his office specifying which state contract you are hoping to not go to competitive bidding. Remember, the contribution is no guarantee; it just puts you on the list.
