They really need to bring back Rick Esenberg

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ran an op-ed this week trying to explain politics as "a war being fought between gods".

Of course, my speculation about contentious gods is not a new idea. I borrowed it from the ancient Greeks. Remember them? They were the ones who gave us democracy in the first place and set the stage for our quarreling.

One old source even claimed our human battles are actually started by the gods. We're entertainment for them. They get their kicks out of watching us kick each other. By now, they probably have TiVo and can zip through the boring parts{.}

Oh yeah, she's a retired "clergywoman". I wonder where she studied theology? Dungeons and Dragons University?
