a friendly fundraising e-mail from secretary of state candidate Scot Ross.
I CAN'T SAY WHAT IT'S FOR, BUT I NEED TO RAISE $4,720 TO FINISH THIS CAMPAIGN OFF ONCE AND FOR ALL.
Diamond speculates on the reason:
Ross needs $4,720 and he needs it now, although he can't tell us why. Either he owes the Mob money, or he's planning to very publicly reimburse the state for its expenses in defending him during the caucus investigation.
I think Ross just found out he's to get $12 million from a Nigerian Princess, and he needs the money to cover the legal expenses.
