Before we all go jumping up and down saying JB Van Hollen was right about terrorists after all, let's note what Van Hollen said. Van Hollen said terrorists were training and raising funds here in Wisconsin. He said that he had specific knowledge of the activity, but that he couldn't say what it was. On another occasion, Van Hollen specifically stated there were terrorist cells in Superior.
I am not going to pretend there's no threat of Middle East style terrorism in Wisconsin. I would have to be an idiot to do so (or a member of the Democratic Party), especially in light of today's revelations.
For that matter, we have our brand of homegrown terrorists from the Earth Liberation Front to the Ku Klux Klan.
But let's be honest. The current case has nothing to do with Van Hollen's claims.
