Jay Bullock from folkbum's rambles and rants is taking a momentary break, allowing some guests to fill in for him. Today, Scot Ross, Democratic candidate for secretary of state, proposes that a series of debates be held among the candidates for the job currently held by Douglas LaFollette. LaFollette predictably said no, and as a political pundit, I'd like to take this opportunity of thanking LaFollette of sparing Wisconsin one of the most tedious exercises since my wife tried to interest me in picking a color of paint for the bathroom.
"We could go with ivory sand, or ivory tan, or this tan color with just a hint of white and green, or..."
Couldn't we just go to an American Idol format instead? If there is a debate, will someone ask "Scot" where the heck the second "t" went? Maybe he sold it to pay his legal fees.
