How safe is it?

T. S. Garp: We'll take the house. Honey, the chances of another plane hitting this house are astronomical. It's been pre-disastered. We're going to be safe here."
The World According to Garp

The City of Milwaukee has been named the city least likely to be hit by a natural disaster.* Someone should tell the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, because they claim to be hit with The Hundred Year Flood once a month.

My take on Milwaukee's safety rating, Waukesha's ranking as a place to live, and the proposed smoking ban in Waukesha, are all covered in this week's column.

*Actually, they tied for first with Mesa, Arizona.
