I wish I was the first to notice the coincidence, but Charlie Sykes made an excellent point this morning about the timing of the Nancy Nusbaum ad against the War in Iraq. In the last 24 hours we were witness to the formation of an elected Iraqi government's cabinent and the announcement by the Iraqi government that the leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was killed in a US air raid. While the Iraqis are celebrating the turning point in the War on Terror in Iraq (see AP photo at right) Democrats are planning on attacking the war effort at home for political advantage.
Even better than Nusbaum is Democratic strategist and Doyle cheerleader Bill Christofferson, who just yesterday advised Governor Doyle to run against the "Republican War" (never mind Congress voted for the war across party lines) when running for re-election this Fall.
