I assume this is that chilling effect on free speech we keep hearing about.
Here's some advice to my left wing friends. I'm not a fan of Ann Coulter either. But announcing you want her banned is just going to sell more books for her. Condemning each and every crackpot statement of hers is just going to give her more attention. Do you know why she sells books? Not because conservatives love her (though some do) but because she says things that drive left-wingers up the wall.
If you ignored her, I guarantee her schtick would lose it's effect. Then she would appear in Playboy, announce she was disgusted at the Right's prudish reaction (Playboy would lose money on the magazine), and cash in by joining the left.
Me? I'm tired of the whole game. To me she's so 1990s.
