Going to the meeting place

The Waukesha County Board, in a lame duck session, meets tonight at 7:00pm in room 350 of the courthouse. On the agenda, item #2,
MOTION: To Reconsider Ordinance 160-O-118:
Amend The Waukesha County Code To Repeal And Recreate Sections Regarding Establishing And Creating Twenty-Five Supervisory Districts In Waukesha County
The Waukesha County Board will be deciding whether to thwart the efforts of the volunteers out on the streets getting signatures to reduce the number of County Board members to eleven. Unfortunately, the Waukesha Taxpayers League does not have enough signatures in hand to force the issue to referendum yet. If given the full sixty days, they and all the other volunteers can get the signatures, but that's only if the Waukesha County Board does not act tonight.

I encourage everyone to show up for this important meeting and let the County Board know that they are being watched by their constituents, something they fear more than anything else. Already, two members have lost their seats because of this issue. We need to show up and let them know that more will fall if they stand in the way of the petition drive.
