I wasn't surprised to hear of Jensen's conviction, or his just-announced resignation of his State Assembly seat effective March 21st. Even just a glance through Deb Jordahl's blog will tell you the steep odds he faced in court.
On a personal note, I bumped into Jensen during my fight with the state elections board. After finding out who I was, he asked me how was I holding up under the pressure. I told him I was fine, and that my fiance thought the whole thing ridiculous. He told me to hang onto her. (I did. We were married a year later.)
The State Assembly is losing one of it's craftier politicians, and also one of it's most principled. We're praying Jensen wins on appeal, but Wisconsin will already have lost.
