School Choice isn't a panacea. But for those students enrolled in the program, it's a lifeline, a chance they might not have had otherwise. Governor Doyle and his allies in WEAC can demagogue all they want, but the truth is they don't want these kids going to private schools. They want them to go to the Milwaukee Public Schools. Regardless if the child will succeed or not, as long as the child's education is stamped with the union label, Governor Doyle and WEAC will be happy.
