Waukesha County Board Chairman Jim Dwyer is ready to come out fighting against proposals to shrink the size of the county board. He's going to claim that shrinking the size of the board will limit the voices to be heard. This great concern for democracy is coming from a county supervisor that's running unopposed.
If he's really concerned about hearing the voices of his constituents, will he support the county board reduction going to referendum?
Or maybe we can ask him to take a few baby steps. He can ask his fellow county supervisors to activate their e-mail accounts, like Supervisor Jean Tortomasi who just had hers turned off. (Constituents can still reach her by phone at 262-544-5373, until she turns that off as well.)
