I'm beginning to have sympathy for Kent Woods. Here he is, running in a special primary election for state assembly, a little over a week away from the finish line and... his former associates at the Wisconsin Towns Association pulled down his pants and whacked him with the pledge board. Today the Wisconsin Towns Association came out against repealing the automatic increase in the gas tax.
Woods has already been under fire from conservatives for his "nuanced" position of being against the Taxpayers Bill of Rights (as a lobbyist for the Towns Association) before he was for it.
So now the question before the house is this: Will Woods come out against the Towns Association? Or will he reverse course and oppose repeal of the gas tax? Is there some wobbly spot on a tightrope he can find in attempt to satisfy everyone?
