Newcomer is running for state assembly in the 33rd assembly district special election (December 13th) to complete the term of former State Representative Dan Vrakas which Vrakas vacated to take over as Waukesha County Executive. He is building a house in Delafield, but currently resides in Elm Grove.
Patrick writes:
He has bought land in Delafield and plans to build a home and move there, this will make him eligible to run for this seat, but he is not currently living in the district. The paper also reports that Newcomer voted in Delafield in last months special election for County Executive. I don’t believe that this is legal.Ya want irony? If he had to show a photo id, which address would it have had?
According to the Wisconsin Legislatures website, one of the qualifications for voting in Wisconsin is:
You have lived in the district in which you will be voting for at least 10 days
If the report in the Lake Country Reporter is correct, Newcomer voted in an election in which he was not eligible.
