"It became a very partisan election," he said. "And that isn't good in the long run for the people of this county."
-- County Board Chairman Jim Dwyer after losing to State Representative Dan Vrakas in the race for County Executive
I was shocked,
shocked! to learn the Democrat Party of Waukesha County is injecting partisanship into the non-partisan race for mayor of the City of Waukesha. They are endorsing
Alderman Larry Nelson in the Spring 2005 election.
Alderman Larry Nelson has announced his candidacy in the race for Waukesha mayor. Larry Has served on the Common Council for six years. He is a board member of the Women's Center, a member of the Public Art Committee, a supporter of Safe and Sound and an avid supporter of historic preservation. Larry is a member of the Waukesha Democratic Party. He teaches at Butler Middle School. A primary election is scheduled for Feb. 21. The top two candidates will move on to an election on April 4. Oh the horror, the horror, please bring me my smelling salts before I faint at the horror. Somebody is injecting partisanship into the non-partisan race for mayor. Someone alert the Journal Sentinel! Someone alert the Waukesha Freeman! Someone wake up Dennis Shook! We've got partisans!
