No, I'm not asking you to defraud some online contest. Last night I test drove the Hyundai Sonata, and I'm asking people for their general impressions of the car.
To give you some idea where I'm at in the process, I test drove a 2003 Hyundai Sonata LX. After that I test drove a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GL. I really liked the way the 2003 Sonata LX felt when it drove. It had a completely different feel than the 2000 Plymouth Neon (which is now officially totalled). The word that came to mind was "crisp." I took it for a test spin down highway 100 in Milwaukee (yes, I was the grey blur with the Bee Gees blaring). I liked the way the car handled city traffic, which is important to me since I spend nearly two hours daily in rush hour.
The 2006 Sonata GL has less features (did I mention the 2003 LX has heated leather seats?) which brings it down to a more acceptable price range, but it also loses something in that, again for lack of a better word, "crisp" feel to it. I took that one out on the freeway and back, and it certainly had some "get" to it. After apologizing to Milwaukee County's finest we took Hwy 100 back to the dealership. It handled driving in the city traffic well, too.
Both cars were a V6. I know the 4 cyl would be more fuel efficient, but I've decided I need a little more in the engine (yes, I know, sounds like a personal problem).
Anyways, your thoughts, comments or questions would be greatly appreciated.
