Garry Trudeau had to pull back all of next week's strips because they previewed the Harriet Miers confirmation hearings which, now, will not take place. Newspapers will run reruns.

Garry Trudeau of Doonesbury demonstrates once again why trying to anticipate the news with his long lead time is a failed model for topical cartoon strips. The unreleased strips can be seen at Slate Magazine. (okay, I admit it, I laughed at the first two.)
