Another Wisconsin Lottery minute

So what if the money went to somebody in Oregon? Did you look at the back of your ticket? Did you see the odds? You had to be crazy to think you were going to win! Positively insane! Nobody ever wins except us! So quit your complaining! You had fun, didn't you? Isn't playing the lottery fun? Were you not entertained?

Did you know that an estimated 95 cents of every sales dollar earned by the Lottery goes directly back into the economy of Wisconsin? That means five cents on every dollar is sucked like a vacuum into permanent non-productivity! More government! Who cares if that dollar would have been better spent in the private sector. It's just a dollar! Or two, or three, or...

A Lottery is a Taxation,
Upon all the Fools in Creation;
And Heav’n be prais’d,
It is easily rais’d,
Credulity’s always in Fashion;
For, Folly’s a Fund,
Will never lose Ground;
While Fools are so rife in the Nation
- Henry Fielding
