The sacrificial lambs are getting younger
Justin Sowa is the new entry into the race for the Democrat nomination for Congress in Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District. According to his official biography, his last attempt at public office was an unsuccesful run for Student Government President at Louisiana State University. According to his postings over at Democrat Underground (the things I have to read for research, blech), he is 27 years old and it took him 4 1/2 years to graduate from LSU with his political science degree. The Democrat Underground sounds a little skeptical of his chances....
His campaign treasurer is also the head of the Kenosha Democrat Party, Ellen Kupfer. Ellen Kupfer was also the head of the Kenosha School District's teachers union when it staged a "sick-out" in 2002. We may want to ask Justin how this reflects on his positions on educational issues.
It appears Dr. Jeff Thomas, who has lost to Paul Ryan before, may also be considering a run.
