Air America

Today is request day at the Library & Pub. I’ve been asked, what do I think of Air America? Well, I didn't see the movie, but just looking at the box cover for the movie I'd say it looks pretty lame. After all, another CIA conspiracy movie? And look at that hair on Robert Downey Jr and Mel Gibson. Were hot-air blow dryers standard CIA issue in South East Asia? I don't think so! But it would explain what John Kerry was doing in Cambodia when, uh, say what?

There's a radio program called Air America? A whole broadcast network? Do they have, like, Paul Harvey, or something? What? Al Franken? The guy who played Stuart Smalley? Okay, now you're putting me on, right? You're serious. How long has this been going on? Are they making money? Heh, figures.

Are they on the air in the Milwaukee market? No, I don't think even Jerry Bott at WISN is that dumb. (Maybe Al Franken should have tried out for Milwaukee's Next Talk Star.) So they're not on the air here. Well, we do have two public radio stations, and that's more torture than a Sinead O'Connor concert.

Wait a second. They took money from who? Poor disadvantaged minority kids? And they lost it, nobody knows where?

So let me get this straight. Some rich white guys took some money from some poor disadvantaged urban kids and gave the money to themselves so a few radio stations could air Stuart Smalley and the dead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and now the money is "lost" in an accounting mess.

Are you sure Air America isn't on in Milwaukee, because the whole story sounds really familiar. Oh yeah, it happened here too.

(see Michelle Malkin, Real Debate Wisconsin, and TTLB has listed it as a hot topic)
